Commercial Use: Metallic Coatings
Long-life metallic coatings without the limitations
Our metallic coatings can be field-applied on standing seam metal roofs, mansards, or walls, and on various substrates such as wood, metal, masonry, mineral surface roofing, granular and clay emulsion surfaces and on composition shingles. In factory production, it can be applied to metal substrates of aluminum or galvanized metal.
Our metallic coating is a liquid, specifically formulated with acrylic resins and pure ground copper, which cures to form an elastomeric membrane. Our popular Copper Metallic Coating provides a long-life copper finish without the limitations, expense or maintenance problems of copper sheets.
Coverage on smooth surfaces is approximately 200 sq. ft. per gallon 3 mil film. Two coats are required with a cross hatch application. Products should not be applied in freezing conditions. If our patina solution is to be applied, the first coat of metallic coating should be cured. The application of the patina should be applied to the second coat just before it dries. This is dependent on temperature and humidity. Apply a mist of the antique solution at a rate of 250 to 350 sq. ft. per gallon.

I know a good coating when I use one - pure powdered metal in a very high quality clear acrylic coating. I have used the product exclusively for exterior surfaces in the So Cal desert. The product is extremely durable. We painted the bell tower at my golf club 40 years ago, it looks the same as the day we painted it.

Our patina solutions are used with our metallic coatings extensively on exterior signage, wrought iron railings and gates, yard art, and fountains. Also used on hardy backer and concrete both interior and exterior.

PATINA Application
FOLLOW THESE FIVE SIMPLE STEPS
- Clean or wash off all dirt, oils and grease, flaking paint and remove all rust or oxidation.
- Prime all non-metal surfaces with our clear primer sealer. Metal surfaces must be primed with a high quality epoxy primer.
- Apply the first coat of Metallic Coating to all surface area with brush, roller or sprayer. Allow 24 hours curing time between coats.
- Apply second coat of Metallic Coating. Temperatures should be between 40 F & 80 F.
- If a Verdigris Patina finish is desired, mist the green patina solution on the second coat of the Metallic Coating while it is still damp to the touch. Use a fine misting bottle sprayer.
YOU’RE DONE, THE PATINA WILL CHANGE TO AN ANTIQUE FINISH WITHIN 30 MINUTES.

A pure acrylic base with no extenders or color added. Great product for interior and exterior projects. This product can be brushed, rolled or sprayed. For use as a primer on non-metal surfaces or as a clear sealer on hardy backer and concrete both interior and exterior.

I wanted something that looked like real copper and this was it. The label says liquid copper and that's exactly what it is. coverage is great, I would buy this product again.
